After having a short break from classes to recover from the World Championships, the South of England Championships were upon us before we knew it! The competition is hosted by Michelle Steen and the Steen School of Irish Dancing at the end of April/beginning of May.
On the Saturday of the competition, we had a first time feiser take to stage in the U7 beginners, Hayden Johnson. He had only been dancing since February and did incredibly at his first ever feis winning lots of medals! Our other beginning dancing on Saturday all did very well too adding to their medal collections with some great solos places.
On Sunday, it was the turn of our open dancers to fly the Ellis-Parr flag and again they didn't disappoint with fab dancing and even better team spirit! The overall results for our dancers on day 2 was a little mixed, but sometimes the result just doesn't go your way.
A special mention for our Grace Barry for placing 3rd in the U18 Reel Cup and of course to Hayden for competing at his first ever feis.
Congratulations to all our dancers that took part in the South of England Championships and thank you to Michelle and her team for once again looking after us so well.
