After having a long, hot and relaxing Summer, we were back to what we do best in September, with the Kent Championships 2018. The competition is hosted by Louise Coyne and her school, St. John's Irish Dancers. The venue for the championships was Ebbsfleet Academy in Kent.
The championships certainly kicked off our new dancing season with a bang, having a huge entry from our friends across the pond in Ireland and the standard of dancing was second to none.
Team Ellis-Parr had dancers take part in competitions from beginners to our Open dancers. Our open dancers were competing in the competition as part of their qualification process for the World Championships 2019 in Killarney. We were delighted with all our dancers that took part in over the weekend for their fabulous dancing, team spirit and sportsmanship.
Once again, their hard work showed in the results and we would like to congratulate all our dancers:
Freddy Beard - 1st, Age 10 Open Championship
Ania Vasylenko - 1st, Age 10 Beginner B Trophy Reel
Lucia Burke-Sanchez - 3rd, Senior Open Championship
Jessica Ellis - 4th, Senior Open Championship
Michaela Green - 6th, Senior Open Championship.
