In recent months, our very own Jessica Ellis and Freddy Beard have appeared in the new open platform Irish dance magazine, Rince.
Jessica was featured in the June/July issue of the magazine with an artilce which focused n her return to dancing after having to take a considerable amount of time off through injury. Her injury was so severe that she eventaully needed an operation to correct the problem and in the artice she talks in depth about her diagnosis, route to recovery and how she got back dancing and competing again.
A little picure of the double page spread is below:
The following issue of Rince (Sept/Oct) featured our little gent, Freddy Beard. The editor pick pictured Freddy in his All Ireland Champion t-shirt which was made by Little Miss Gem & Sew and the picture used in the magazine was also featured on Little Miss Gem & Sew's social media feeds too!
Rince was launched in April 2018 by Erin Foley-Coyle. Erin is a former dancer with the Ellis-Parr Irish Dance Academy. She competed with us for a number of years and was highly successful at Prelim Championship level. She made the decision to move to Open Platform a number of years ago and hasn't looked back since. She continues to compete at OP feisanna and consistently places well. She has recently opened her own dancing shool and now launched Rince magazine! We are incredible proud of her acheivements and know she will go from strength to strength with whatever she takes on next!
